The ‘Istituto Comprensivo Fratelli Casetti’ is located in Preglia of Crevoladossola, a small town in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in the north of Piedmont and on the border with Switzerland. The province is characterised by a mountainous territory and a strong administrative fragmentation, 77 municipalities, most of them with a population under 1500 inhabitants. The institute has 825 students, distributed in 12 buildings, located in different municipalities, and it includes three stages of education: infant school, primary school and lower secondary school. It has a large number of pupils with special needs (71) The school aims to improve its educational offer in such a way that knowledge, abilities and competences are acquired by all students in a context that promotes inclusion, solidarity, innovation and improvement of teaching planning.
Hoejmeskolen is a school situated 6 kms from the centre of Odense in an urban and rural environment with a great variety in the socio-economic conditions.The school has about 650 pupils in the ages 6 to 16 years, with approximately 9 % of pupils with a different culture than Danish (migrants).Højmeskolen is a Folkeskole . It includes primary and lower secondary school and it aims at preparing the students towards participation, joint responsibility, rights and duties in a free and democratic society. It has always had a good relationship with the parents and the community surrounding being a local gathering place and a safe place for both children and their parents. The school looks upon the parents as its most important partner in securing good education and life for the students.
